WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?

Small Town Speech Therapy is currently private pay only.

If seeking out-of-network coverages for our speech services, payment will be expected at the time of service.

For out-of-network billing, a detailed invoice outlining the services that were received and payed for, which is called a "superbill", can be requested. You will then be able to submit this superbill to your insurance company for any reimbursement available to you.

Please be advised that not all services may be reimbursable, depending on service type, the disorder treated, and the severity of the deficits. The only way to know what reimbursement is for out-of-network speech therapy services is to call your insurance company and ask. Small Town Speech Therapy is not responsible for insurance's coverage/reimbursement determinations. Any payment arrangements and communication regarding coverage is between you and your insurance company.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE PRIVATE PAY?

Private pay is a great option for those who do not qualify for speech services through the school district or county, but parents feel that they could use some extra help. It is also a great option for those who do not qualify for summer services, but families want to continue therapy over those months off!

Feel free to call and we can talk about the options available, and whether private pay is a good option for you.

DO YOU OFFER ONLINE OPTIONS?

Yes. Small Town Speech Therapy provides online services - also called 'teletherapy' or 'telehealth services'.

If you are interested in teletherapy options, please schedule a 10 minute free phone or virtual consultation to discuss the requirements (i.e. high speed internet and access to a device [tablet, computer, phone]).

A quick video conference can also be set up to check connectivity and the viability of this option.

HOW LONG ARE THERAPY SESSIONS?

Therapy sessions are typically 30 minute sessions, with additional time at the end for parent consultation and review. In total, around 40-45 minutes.

Shorter or longer sessions can be discussed, based on client's individual preference and need.

Evaluations are typically longer, taking anywhere from 1-2 hours.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Small Town Speech Therapy accepts cash, check and credit card.

IvyPay is a HIPAA compliant app that easily takes online credit card payments at the time of service. The card can be kept on file and a receipt is sent right to you after each charge.
